Partner - Residential Property Litigation & Enfranchisement

Jane qualified as a solicitor in 2004. Having trained at a large central London law firm, Jane spent the next 8 years at Seddons in the West End. Jane is a residential property litigator, advising landlords and lessees in relation to service charge demands, reasonableness of service and administration charges and major works consultation. Jane also has extensive experience in residential possession actions and advises landlords on Rent Act tenancies. Some of her work involves special projects, for example advising on roof top extensions or basement excavation.

On the enfranchisement side of her practice, Jane acts for individual lessees seeking lease extensions as well as collective enfranchisement and Right to Manage. She also acts for lessees and landlords in relation to the Rights of First Refusal. Jane has experience with absent landlord claims as well as applications for the appointment of a manager.

Since qualifying, Jane has acted for individual lessees, corporate landlords and asset managers and regularly gives talks to managing agents and estate agents on various topics.  She has gained significant experience in the First Tier Tribunal.

Jane’s clients value her no-nonsense approach, and her ability to reach a commercial resolution where possible.
