Maurice Esterkin

Following a career in the procurement, management and delivery of commercial construction projects, Maurice qualified as a solicitor in March 2015.  Offering an additional perspective and interest, beyond sole focus on the legal aspects of transactions, clients often consider Maurice’s technical understanding of their work to be invaluable ordnance. 

Maurice can advise on any transactional real estate matter and particularly enjoys assisting a client extract maximum value from land or property, including the assembly of development sites, commercial lettings, investments, and securitisation. He is also experienced in the preparation, review and negotiation of construction contracts and ancillary documents, including consultants’ appointments and collateral warranties.

Maurice often acts for developers negotiating conditional contracts, planning agreements, options, promotion agreements, overage, and all other aspects of development transactions.

Additionally, Maurice acts for landlords and prepares and negotiates leases for their retail, office and light industrial units, also dealing with various licences and supplemental documents. Similarly, he advises tenants who wish to take leases; from sophisticated business with expanding portfolios in industrial, retail and leisure sectors, to smaller and new businesses, in some instances, clients taking a lease for the first time.

Maurice also acts for banks, lending instructions and borrowers, dealing with purchases, refinances, and developments.
