Juliet Valdinger

An experienced philanthropy adviser supporting individuals, families and next‑generation wealth holders to define, shape and begin their giving journeys with clarity and confidence.

Juliet Valdinger is an experienced philanthropy adviser supporting individuals, families and next‑generation wealth holders to define, shape and begin their giving journeys with clarity and confidence.

With over 25 years embedded in the philanthropy ecosystem, Juliet works closely with people who want to use their resources to create meaningful positive change, but who may feel unsure where to start. Her approach is intentionally empowering and non‑prescriptive, enabling clients to explore their motivations, values and options without pressure, complexity or long‑term commitment.

Juliet operates as a Holistic Philanthropy Adviser, delivering one‑to‑one discovery workshops designed to help individuals align purpose with practical action. These sessions give clients clarity on why they want to give, which causes resonate most strongly, and what resources—financial or otherwise—they can deploy. Following each workshop, clients receive a personalised blueprint and, where appropriate, introductions to trusted specialists who can support the next stage of their journey.

Juliet’s career spans grantmaking foundations, charities of all sizes, individual philanthropists and entrepreneurs working across causes including disability, education and climate change. She has led teams, managed grant programmes, worked within asset management, and served as Senior Grants Manager for a private foundation, giving her a rare, end‑to‑end understanding of how philanthropy operates in practice.

Juliet holds an MSc in Grantmaking, Philanthropy and Social Investment (Distinction) from Bayes Business School and a BA in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics. Her academic work explored the historical disconnect between wealth advisers and philanthropy—an insight that now underpins her work helping advisers and clients bring values, wealth and purpose into constructive dialogue.

As a Consultant to the Spencer West Private Office, Juliet works alongside legal, tax and advisory teams to support private clients with philanthropic clarity, family engagement and values‑led decision‑making, particularly at moments of transition, inheritance or intergenerational planning.
