Brendan Pang

Partner - Dispute Resolution, Property Disputes

With more than 30 years of experience in commercial dispute resolution for individuals and businesses, Brendan is ideally placed to assist on any property related or commercial dispute. To the point and business-like, he provides practical, commercial advice to help his clients achieve their objectives and minimise inconvenience and cost.

Brendan is experienced in handling a wide range of disputes, from a dispute over a jackpot-winning ticket in the National Lottery, to defective compost causing the loss of a mushroom farm, to a nuisance action against a cricket club, to partnership and shareholder disputes in family-owned businesses.

Trained and qualified at national law firm Clarke Willmott, he was promoted to Partner after only 7 years. Brendan then joined Stokes Partners LLP in 2001, becoming the Managing Partner from 2009 to 2021.

Brendan’s early career spanned a broad range of commercial disputes, which included contentious probate and professional negligence claims against lawyers, accountants and brokers. Brendan has in recent years specialised in property litigation, acting for claimants and defendants on real estate disputes relating to rights of light, restrictive covenants, easements, boundaries and defective titles.

Outside of work, Brendan’s passion is in watching and playing sports, including rugby, tennis, golf and fly-fishing. He also fancies himself as a foodie and potential MasterChef contender.
