Simon Cohen

My door is always open - I am the partner that others will bounce their problems off and ask me for my opinion on the law. I like helping my clients reach commercial decisions and "getting the deals done", but I have also been known on occasion to warn people off transactions where I believe the legal risks are substantial. I am detailed and careful, and I enjoy ongoing close, friendly working relationships with all my clients, a number of whom have been with me for many years.

Simon read history at Brasenose College Oxford and was admitted as a solicitor in 1983.

Simon specialises in all aspects of commercial property work and in particular property acquisition and landlord and tenant matters including the renewal of business leases under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. Simon is also highly experienced in general commercial property management work. He acts for clients on corporate acquisitions both of company and business assets in a variety of sectors.

Outside the office Simon enjoys wine (past chairman and president of the Solicitors’ Wine Society and currently its secretary). Simon also plays bridge and is a keen follower of Chelsea Football Club – especially of lunch with friends before games.
