As a Registered Foreign Lawyer at Spencer West LLP since December 2023, Zainab specialises in drafting contracts, leases, and title reports for residential and commercial properties. Her role also includes conducting and reviewing property searches, completing AP1 forms on InfoTrack, and drafting legal opinions. She effectively utilises case management systems (ActionStep, MySpencerWest) to open client files and draft Letters of Engagement.
Zainab also acted as an Associate Lawyer at the Ministry of Law and Justice for over four years, specialising in the drafting and amending of legislation, and providing legal advisory services to various Federal Government Ministries. She played a pivotal role as a member of the implementation cell for the Anti-Rape (Investigation and Trial) Act 2020, showcasing her commitment to impactful legal reform and justice.
Holding an LLB (Honours), Zainab’s expertise is further supported by ongoing studies in Public International Law (LLM) and an Advanced Training Course on Legal Services (including Forensic Sciences) of SCO Countries in China. Her qualification as a Registered Foreign Lawyer further enhances her capacity to understand and operate within diverse legal frameworks.
In addition to her legal practice, Zainab contributes to the academic realm by teaching Tort Law and Legal System Management (LSM) to LLB students, keeping her engaged with evolving legal principles and theories.
