Stephen is an experienced international commercial Solicitor (qualified 2006) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (2010). Stephen has looked after private client and commercial legal matters for international high net worth individuals, families and entrepreneurs including advising on, setting up and acting as protector, director or fiduciary to trusts, funds and companies in 25 jurisdictions.
Prior to merging with Spencer West in September 2022, Stephen established and ran his own boutique legal, trust and corporate service firm for 14 years, and he sold the trust and corporate services elements of the Palladium Group in 2019. He also has specialist experience in relation to international/BVI trusts and corporate services, and he manages a Trust and Corporate Service firm in Barbados, Salt Trust Limited.
Stephen is quadruple-admitted to practice in the British Virgin Islands, Ireland, St Kitts and Nevis, and England & Wales, and has over 20 years’ professional experience in the wealth structuring arena. He is the founder of Spencer West’s British Virgin Islands practice, drawing on his specialist expertise to represent the area’s typically high net worth individuals and their families from across the globe, as well as entrepreneurs and international companies.
His specialist expertise includes structuring for ultra-high net worth individuals in the estate planning, asset protection, cross-border, M&A, fund, corporate law, and private deal space.
