Nkatha Omondi is a leading project finance and banking finance lawyer with over 15 years of experience, having worked at two tier one law firms as well as the Geothermal Development Company (in Kenya’s Ministry of Energy) and at Safaricom PLC. Nkatha brings a rare combination of regulatory insight and deal-making experience, having served in both private practice and government.
She holds two masters’ degrees; an LL.M in International Economic Law (University of Warwick) and an M.A in International Studies (University of Nairobi).
She has considerable expertise in renewable energy projects, banking and finance transactions, climate finance and carbon credits, public private partnerships, project development, project finance, debt capital markets and high-level cross border commercial transactions.
