Poornima Jhaumal describes her focus as simple: give clients the clarity they need to move their business forward.
Poornima joined the Corporate team in February 2026, having completed pupillage under several leading practitioners. This provided a strong grounding in commercial, criminal, and employment litigation, experience which continues to inform her approach to transactional work today — practical, detail-focused, and alert to risk.
Called to the Bar of Mauritius and to the Bar of England and Wales at Middle Temple, Poornima has also undertaken specialist training at University College London in intellectual property agreements, including licensing, ownership, competition law, and confidentiality obligations.
Poornima advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on financing transactions, regulatory compliance, and due diligence. Poornima also supports clients on cross-border transactions, working alongside other international law firms, and applying a strong understanding of international financial systems to help clients manage complexity.
