Aftab Carrimkhan is an experienced Associate at Spencer West in Mauritius. His practice focuses on corporate, commercial law, civil law, advising international clients, management companies, and corporate groups on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, licensing, and governance matters within the global business sector.
Prior to joining Spencer West, Aftab held senior roles at Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Limited, where he advised on the establishment and ongoing administration of global business companies and investment structures. He has extensive experience in corporate structuring, regulatory and compliance advisory, company secretarial matters, and liaising with regulatory authorities, including in relation to licensing and ongoing statutory obligations.
Aftab completed his pupillage under leading practitioners, gaining valuable exposure to advocacy, legal drafting, civil law matter and contentious matters. This combined corporate and legal background enables him to deliver commercially focused, practical legal solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
He completed the Law Practitioners Vocational Course at the University of Mauritius and is qualified as a Barrister-at-Law of Mauritius. He also holds an LLB (Hons) from the Middlesex University.
