Expansion Will Add Considerable EU Competition and EU Regulatory Capability
LONDON, 9 MARCH 2021 – International law firm Spencer West has opened a Brussels office to expand on its full-service international capabilities on behalf of clients all over the world. The new office will be headed by corporate law partner Jan Cant and will enhance Spencer West’s capabilities in EU competition and regulatory law, as well as being a standalone Belgian law practice.
“Brussels is the natural gateway to the EU and ensures a seamless service to our clients with European interests, post-Brexit,” said Simeon Spencer, senior partner and co-founder of Spencer West. “As we continue our expansion internationally, the Brussels office will serve as a blueprint for more offices throughout the EU and further afield.”

Spencer West’s Brussels practice will combine regulatory expertise with substantial capability in corporate and commercial work, including in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contracting, IT and telecoms, PPP, GDPR and international institutions.
Joining Cant in the Brussels office will be partner Delia Orabona. Between the two of them, they bring nearly 50 years of experience handling competition, regulatory, corporate and commercial work in private practice, at the European Commission, and as general counsel of major EU-based regulated companies.
