Limassol hosted the official launch of Tech London Advocates (TLA) Cyprus on Wednesday evening, with international law firm Spencer West as event sponsor. The new initiative aims to position Cyprus as a regional technology hub, connecting the island’s entrepreneurs and investors to TLA’s global network.

Speakers included Nasos Katsiamides of Klidi.io, Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis, GTA-TLA Advisory Committee member Suki Fuller, former Ogilvy executive Iryna Manukovska, and Panis Pieri of Panis.News.
The second panel, moderated by Spencer West Partner Alexia Solomou, focused on the societal and ethical impact of new technologies. Panellists included Wargaming Co-Founder Marat Karpeko, IBM Cyprus & Malta Senior Business Leader Menicos Mavrommatis, Electi Consulting Managing Director Nicolas Markou, OUC Assistant Professor Dr. Styliani Kleanthous, and Capital.com Chief Legal Officer Valentina Rzheutskaya.
Speaking after the event, Theo Antoniou said Cyprus was ready to step up on the global stage.
“Cyprus has the talent, ambition, and international reach to become a leading tech hub for the region,” Mr Antoniou said.
“By joining the TLA network, we are building a bridge between Cyprus and global centres of innovation. Our goal is to connect local entrepreneurs with international opportunities and to bring new investment and expertise to the island.”
Christiana Antoniou, Co-Founder of TLA Cyprus and Spencer West Cyprus, stressed the importance of collaboration.
“This launch marks the start of a community that champions innovation with responsibility,” Mrs Antoniou said.
“Technology has the power to transform economies and societies, and Cyprus can play a meaningful role in shaping that future. TLA Cyprus will bring together diverse voices from business, academia, and government to ensure growth is inclusive, sustainable, and globally connected.”
The launch closed with a networking reception that brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers from across Cyprus and abroad.
