Spencer West advises The General Lift Company on sale to Compliance Group
International law firm Spencer West has advised the shareholders of The General Lift Company Limited, one of the South East’s most respected lift engineering businesses, on the sale of the company to Compliance Group (Complii Group).
Founded in 1986, The General Lift Company has grown from a family-run business into a highly regarded specialist provider of lift installation, maintenance, servicing, repair and modernisation services across London and the South East. Over nearly four decades, the business has built an excellent reputation for technical expertise, long-standing customer relationships and high standards of service within a safety-critical sector.
The acquisition represents an important milestone for all parties and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the business. As part of Complii Group, The General Lift Company will continue to trade under its established brand while benefiting from the group’s resources, enhanced service offering and strong market position.
